Get contacted
The listing stays online for 30 days. Messages from interested buyers arrive in your private area.
What sets the price of a classic motorcycle
Two motorcycles of the same model and year can differ in value by a factor of two. These are the five things a collector checks before making an offer.
- 01
Originality and numbers
Matching frame and engine numbers and period components (carburettors, exhausts, instruments). A bike completed with modern parts is worth less than an original one.
- 02
Original or restored
A restoration documented by a specialist workshop raises the value; a rough one lowers it. Before-and-after photos and invoices for the work matter.
- 03
Papers and plates
Original registration document and plates, entry in the ASI or FMI historic register, a historic-interest certificate: for buyers they are a guarantee and a saving on road tax and insurance.
- 04
Model, series and displacement
First series, sports versions and limited runs are worth more. State the exact series: it is what buyers use to compare your bike with other listings.
- 05
Mileage and maintenance
Genuine mileage, last service, tyres and recent work. A bike that is ready to ride sells faster than one that needs recommissioning.
Put them in your listing, with photos and papers: they are the first questions buyers will ask. See motorcycles for sale →

Frequently asked questions
How much does a listing cost?
The Standard plan costs €49 for 30 days. You pay once per listing: no subscription and no commission on the sale.
When do I pay?
Only when you publish. Creating and saving the draft is free; the listing goes live after payment.
What happens after 30 days?
The listing is suspended. You can renew it from your private area without rewriting it.
How do buyers contact me?
They write to you from the listing page and you find their messages in your private area.
What if I sell the motorcycle before the listing expires?
Suspend the listing from your private area so you stop receiving requests.
How do I choose the price?
Compare motorcycles of the same model for sale on OldBike24 and go back over the five factors above: originality, condition, papers, series and maintenance move the value a lot. A price in line with the market gets more enquiries.
Are you a dealer or a restorer?
To list more motorcycles there are business plans, including automatic import of your stock from an XML feed. Request a quote and we will suggest the right plan.
